Spooktacular Victoria this Halloween

Victoria is sometimes recognized as one of Canada’s most haunted cities!

And although you can definitely seek out the “spooky” in Victoria you can also just enjoy the fun and whimsical part of the Halloween season. Here is my top list of Haunted Happenings in Victoria, BC 2016.

Witness a Swarm of bats in Trounce Alley and become transformed into a BAT when you find one of the 6 benches through downtown Victoria, be sure to capture it on your camera!  Don’t miss other little surprises like the Bat Center (at the Fort Street entrance), and of course you can’t miss a creepy late night walk through the notorious “Market Scare”.

Here or some other “Trick or Treat” delights in Victoria, BC

Craigdarroch Castle will be transformed into an asylum in the post Edwardian era for the spooktacular performance of Arkenham Abbey. A psychological horror comedy about the patients of a psychiatric hospital in the English country side who have taken over and threaten to murder the staff and visitors unless the famous vigilante detective known as the night watchman agrees to meet with them. Admission is $30 and tickets must be reserved in advance.

Horror Escape – Open 7 days a week. Work together as a team in detailed sets finding clues, solving puzzles and unlock your way into the multiple rooms! On select nights there is a scare actor, not only will you be following the narrative and solving your way out to escape you’ll have someone to escape from! YIKES! Don’t miss your Ghostly stories and find the scariest spots in Victoria with the infamous John Adams and Ghostly Walks. Your ghoulish guide will take you on a walk through Chinatown, Market Scare, Bastion Square telling ghastly tales from Victoria’s notorious gold rush. The Brothels, the Bloody murders and even a Ghost ship.  Tours start from the main archway gate at Market Square.
